I know it’s common knowledge that you need solid web hosting if you want to do build anything online. With a reliable web hosting company you are going to struggle to make any money online. In this article i will just go over the some thing to consider when you make your decision of which web host to use.

The most important thing is they have a good history of uptime. There is nothing worse than working really hard to build a website and when visitors go to it, they get an error page.

The site also has to be quick to load. People don’t have the patience to sit and wait for a site to load. If they are waiting for more than 7 seconds, even if it’s on a dial up connection, they’re going to close the window. That’s potential sale that was wiped away because of poor hosting.

You also have to be able to contact them any hour of the and any day of the week. Your website is open 24 hours a day, so should your web hosting company. If you’re not getting 24 hour support from your current provider, it’s time to call it quits.

It’s also nice if they offer cPanel. cPanel offers a ton of great tools to help build email accounts off of your website?s domain names. They also have great tracking software to tell you how many visitors you have gotten.

Fantastico is another thing you should see if you host provides. Fantastico offer the user a multitude of scripts that they can freely upload to their domains. The have great scripts like Wordpress, which could be argued as having the best blogging sfotware in the business.

You shouldn’t have to sign contract when you sign up with a web hosting companies. If they are confident in the service they provide, they should be able to hold you as a customer on a month by month basis. If that isn’t the case, then you might want to look someplace else.
